Schools Out

I have many many friends who are school teachers and mentors

You know what’s odd?

Every other number.

If that’s a hook to get you to read the rest of this blog then you’re easily pleased but I want to talk about Schools.

Now. I have many many friends who are school teachers and mentors and most of them do a great job…but what really pisses me off was a piece I heard on Sky News about parents taking their kids on family holidays during school term time and all these Ponzi do-gooder Readers-Digest loving, mostly head teachers were giving their opinions

About how children should be in school to learn, and I thought poppy- cock…

I mean let’s face it, school is great for some kids I’m not disputing that however school is over rated and an ancient class creating institution. Most Children learn the most through interactions with other children outside the classroom during breaks and even though this is unfashionable to say, the best teachers for 90% of Children have to be their parents…I recall reading Richard Branson’s biography where he talks about memories of family picnics growing up and how swimming in a river at the behest of his aunt I think was a defining moment for him… (my defining moment was prison!)

School can also be a bad thing for innocent minds I clearly recall at the tender age of 11 and during my first year at secondary school I had a detention for fidgeting and not sitting still and before you diagnose me with ADHD I can confirm having failed my 11 plus exam a few days earlier for the local grammar school my dad beat sweet baby Jesus out of me for failing and my ass hurt for weeks.

As I was saying, I was walking through the dingy school corridor I caught a glimpse of my form teacher Mrs Jinniski and the school’s janitor making out, he’d obviously swept her off her feet…yep I can still see her heels dangling in the air….

I’m also not a fan of Home schooling most parents don’t have the prerequisite skills to prepare their children for the real world of horrors.

Yet I think if schools were more accommodating to parents by not fining them but allowing families based on a needs assessment and if possible. i.e. no clashes with upcoming exams or important course work dates or if the children behaved well throughout the year, then allowing parents to take their children on family holidays during term time would be best for everyone involved, especially the Children.

10 things you can count on….

Also on a final educational note remember 10 things you can count on…. your fingers.

Funally I read Donald Trump wants to arm school teachers with firearms! which made me giggle because knowing most teachers who are leftist in thinking and failed Social workers if Donald Trump’s teachers had been armed, he probably wouldn’t be around today!!
